The Mighty Oak The tiny acorn stood it’s ground And soon, a mighty oak aroused And days went by, and days he slept Until, in his mind, a small thought crept.
“I, a tiny acorn, grew And braved the wind and weather too And now I am this mighty tree So now what is to come of me?”
So long he thought, and long he sat For trees do not much more than that And seasons passed, and years went by And still, an answer he’d not spied
Until an acorn came about And forth, a mighty oak did spout A tree as tall as the elder old And then, a couple feet more, ten-fold
“This newer, younger, fresher tree, Could still not be as mighty as me.” So days went by, and days he watched As the new tree’s growth ceased to stop
And there he stood, out matched, out done No longer first to reach the sun And as the young tree grew and grew The other’s leaves were a pit’ous few
And with a sigh, the oak did droop And to the younger he did stoop “For as an older, elder tree I shall depart here gracefully.”
With pain and memories of a past Where it was he who grew so fast When he the mightiest trees Was now a trunk, devoid of leaves
So where a tiny acorn stood it’s ground Where the mightiest oak tree was so bound Is now an old tree, fallen down Was anyone there to hear his sound? This was just a random poem I made up in five minuets... No seriously. Its still probably the deepest thing I've even done. Brownie points if you can guess the theme.

It´s cool, there´s so much rythmn in it, not as in mine - and well, there is a old try looking down on just a samll one - but then the younger tree grows faster and faster and soon it´s bigger and taller than the old one, so the old one has no light anymore and dies. (Isn´t it that? No? okay, I´ll try again ... )

Well, its basicaly about how hard it might be for an elder to have to give up a postion, but how it must happen eventually and then the very last part at the end, the younger trees didn't even really notice the elder or his passing, or how he had to give up everything, and even how gracefully he did it.

Yes, that's the truth; this is life. Often the younger ones doesn't even notice that it was hard for the elders to give in.

I basically fell asleep during every test the last quarter. Depending on the subject, I either finished it, then fell asleep, or did a few questions, fell asleep, then get woken up by the teacher, finished it while half awake, then fell back alseep.
